The Director of East West Ballet School
Kay Tabisaura-Hahn’s professional dance experience includes a performing career with Ballet Philippines and Singapore Dance Theatre where she danced in classical and contemporary ballets. She has performed in various ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Giselle and Sleeping Beauty. In 1999, she graduated from the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School, where she studied both the R.A.D. and Cecchetti methods as well as National Dance (ISTD). The Teacher Training Program also included courses in Anatomy, Music, Body Conditioning, and Dance and Art History. While at the National Ballet School, Ms. Kay had the honor of doing some substitute teaching for the school’s Junior Associate Program, and assist in the Summer School for two years. Ms. Kay is also a certified and registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. She has taught in Toronto and Hamilton (Ontario, Canada), and in Los Angeles and Orange County (California, USA).
Ms. Kay is eager to share her love of dance and professional experience with students here in St. Louis.
